^Lot 881 Antique Halfstock Percussion Rifle .40 Cal

Antique half stock percussion rifle. Unsigned. Features a 37 1/4" heavy octagonal barrel with low profile blade in dovetailed brass base front and fixed notch rear sights, brass finger groove triggerguard & brass crescent buttplate, double set trigger, brass tipped wooden ramrod. The two-cock hammer action works well, the stock is cracked forward of the triggerguard and repaired with tape, the metal has been cleaned at some point and the stock has been varnished. The rifled bore is very good, dusty.
